Is your team seeing patients who aren't progressing with traditional physiotherapy alone? Are you unsure when and how to address the nervous system, emotions, and brain-pain connections in your practice?
This 2-hour workshop will transform how your team understands and approaches persistent pain.
This isn't just pain science theory - you'll walk away with practical tools you can use immediately.
This workshop is for:
physiotherapists, osteopaths, movement practitioners, sports therapists, Any healthcare professional working with persistent pain patients
- How the brain predicts and creates pain experiences
- The role of neuroplasticity in persistent pain and recovery
- Why pain doesn't always equal tissue damage
- Recognising when patients need more than hands-on treatment
- Red flags vs. nervous system dysregulation
- How to have conversations about the brain-pain connection with patients

- Simple nervous system regulation techniques for clinical practice
- Creating safety in your treatment approach
Years ago, I was stuck in persistent pain that traditional treatment couldn't shift. I saw physios who were excellent at what they did. They explained pain to me. They gave me exercises. They treated me holistically, or so they thought.
But I was still stuck. Because there was a gap between understanding pain science and having the actual tools to address what was keeping me there - my dysregulated nervous system, my unprocessed emotions, the personality patterns driving my pain.
My recovery only happened when I understood the deep layers of why I was still stuck. I discovered practical tools for nervous system regulation, somatic work, and addressing the emotional and psychological patterns that traditional physio - even "holistic" physio - wasn't touching.
My recovery was transformational. It gave me my life back. And it showed me exactly what was missing from most clinical approaches.
Here's the truth: Most physios now know that pain is complex and biopsychosocial. But very few know what to do when education and exercise aren't enough. They recognize their patients are stuck, but don't have the practical tools or the understanding of when and how to bridge that gap.
This isn't their fault - it simply isn't taught in most training programs. But this knowledge changes everything.
With a background in biochemistry, three years of teaching experience as a Pilates instructor and JEMS practitioner, and my lived experience of being the patient in that gap, I now specialize in teaching healthcare practitioners the practical tools I wish my physios had known.
I work with a leading physiotherapy clinic and health group, running specialized pain recovery programs for patients who need more than traditional treatment alone. And I'm passionate about equipping practitioners with the skills to recognize this gap and know what to do about it.Years ago, I was stuck in a cycle of persistent pain that traditional treatment approaches couldn't shift. I saw multiple practitioners, tried everything that was offered, and nothing created lasting change. I felt hopeless, dismissed, and like my body had betrayed me.
Everything shifted when I discovered pain neuroscience and the power of understanding how my brain and nervous system were creating and perpetuating my pain experience. My recovery wasn't just about my body - it was about rewiring my brain, regulating my nervous system, and addressing the emotions and patterns that were keeping me stuck.
My recovery was transformational. It gave me my life back. And it ignited a burning desire to share this information with every healthcare practitioner and every person living with persistent pain.
Here's what I know now: Most physios are incredible at what they do - hands-on treatment, exercise prescription, biomechanics. But very few are trained in the neuroscience of pain, the role of emotions, or how nervous system state impacts every treatment outcome. This isn't their fault - it simply isn't emphasized in most training programs. But this knowledge changes everything. For practitioners and patients alike.
With a background in biochemistry, three years of teaching experience as a Pilates instructor and JEMS practitioner, and my lived experience of recovery, I bridge the gap between scientific understanding and compassionate, practical patient care.
I now work with a leading physiotherapy clinic and health group, running specialized pain recovery programs for patients who need more than traditional treatment alone. And I'm on a mission to equip as many healthcare practitioners as possible with the tools and knowledge that can genuinely transform their patients' lives.
